The Week In Pop

  • November 23, 2006
  • Popjustice

:: Matt Willis has been caught cheating at 'I'm A Celebrityâ?¦' Also, someone gave him some booze. His album is out this week by the way, not that you would have noticed.

:: Robbie Williams paid for dinner for every other diner in an indian restaurant so that they would leave him to eat his dinner in peace. He will also have sex with a man if it means saving the life of a baby rabbit.

:: Paris Hilton decided to put on an impromptu PA at Jay‑Z's Las Vegas album launch. She mimed for a bit, threw up and fell off the stage. Lisa Scott-Lee take note — this is how you do a live show.

:: Lisa Scott-Lee has been confirmed for the next series of 'Dancing On Ice'. Hopefully she will be sick.

:: There is no Britney Spears sex tape. Boo!

:: But Britney is suddenly very good friends with Paris Hilton, so give her time etc.

:: George Michael 'might' be appearing in Coronation Street. He might not though, it might just be a load of rubbish made up by the tabloids.

:: Popjustice some very impotant prizes at an award ceremony. Hurrah etc.

:: Nadine Girls Aloud broke up with her telly boyfriend. Blub etc.

:: Beyonce knocked James Morrison over.

:: Mirror.co.uk readers voted Kimberley their least favourite Girls Aloud.

:: George Michael is going to do a concert for nurses.

:: That woman out of Texas almost had a fight with Paris Hilton, and Lily Allen almost nearly caught fire, although the two are NOT related.

:: No one is buying the All Saints album, they are all too busy buying the album by the binman from last year's X‑Factor.

:: The Michael Jackson performance thing wasn't as good as he thought it was going to be. Still, Keisha Sugababe enjoyed it.

:: In related news, Monday's mailout includes the chance to win some of Keisha Sugababe's clothes and an amazing (and ludicrous) boyband compilation.

Have a good weekend.

:: Madonna is not actually adopting anyone from Africa. To celebrate this, here is her new video. In full.

:: Someone told Heidi Sugababe that wearing an orange wig in the new video would be a good idea. Meanwhile, Amelle is looking more like Mutya with every passing day. This is clearly an attempt to recreate Sugababes 1.0.

:: We have heard the new Robbie album. Some people in the 'the office' don't like it. They are very wrong.

:: Dannii Minogue is apparently releasing a cover Sister Sledge's 'He's The Greatest Dancer' as her next single…

:: We've tarted up the features page on Popjustice.

:: We did have some photos of the X‑Factor finalists with towels over their heads to show you, but they've been taken off the internet! Someone call The Internet Police! One of them was in a wheelchair — we seem to remember…

:: The Charlotte Church Show has been recommissioned for another two (TWO!) bloody series :(

:: The Spice Girls reunion is going to happen — under one condition set by Melanie 'B', it must happen in Leeds and Leeds alone.

:: Bloody Fergie is still banging on about crystal meth.

:: The second Gwen Stefani album should be with us before Christmas and is called 'Sweet Escape'. We hear.

Have a nice weekend!

::
You can listen to the b‑side to the new Sugababes single here. If you want.

:: There is a Lily Allen 'special' at Club Popjustice tonight with giveaways but more importantly, bunting.

:: McFly are now stripping professionally, putting off trying for the indie market for a bit longer…

:: Madonna has been named the richest pop woman in the world. Well done her.

:: Girls Aloud have re-edited the 'Something Kinda Ooh' video. There is now a close up of Kimberley's gear stick. Here is the old one and here is the new one. Hmmm.

:: Ashlee Simpson followed through with threats to come and do Chicago in London :(

:: We did an interview with the All American Rejects this week. You can read it here.

:: Matt Willis is the latest pop person supposedly doing 'I'm A Celebrity…' along with every popstar from the past two years. He 'might' be joining Javine, Rachel and half of Liberty X in Kerry Katona's old hammock. We hope/expect this is bollocks and that Tony from Bad Boys Inc will end up making the cut instead.

:: We also spoke to LeToya, who was a woman in Destiny's Child for a short while. You can read that on Monday — the 'week of chart' for the album. Remember, the charts company do compile a Top 200.

Have a nice weekend! x
