Jodie Harsh colÂlabÂorÂator Melanie C is going to be "really upset" if a Spice Girls song isn't played at the Olympics opening ceremony.
A playlist of songs was released by Olympic organÂisers a few days ago and featured the likes of Duran Duran, Sugababes and Coldplay, but there was no room for a Spice Girls song — not even 'Holler'.
"I don’t know exactly where this list has come from, and obviously sometimes things come out that aren’t quite right," she told The Mirror.
"But I’d be really upset if the Spice Girls weren’t included in the Olympics, whether it be the opening or closing cereÂmonÂies or any other playlists, because I think we absoÂlutely repÂresÂenÂted Britain in the 90s."
"We literally flew the flag – and Geri even wore it – around the globe," she added. "We were proud to be British and to be sucÂcessÂful interÂnaÂtionÂally, and we were the last band probably to do that."
