  • February 23, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

Katy Perry's new single 'Part Of Me' has reached the top of the  Billboard Hot 100 in its first week of release.

This is the 'Trust In Me' warbler's seventh US Number One and the sixth from the 'Teenage Dream' era.

It also had the highest first week sales since Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way', selling 411,000 downloads, according to Billboard.

Elsewhere Adele is taking up a lot of space in the Top Ten, with 'Set Fire To The Rain', 'Rolling In The Deep' and 'Someone Like You' at Number 2, Number 3 and Number 7 respectively.
