Facebook have launched a Share Music button

  • June 15, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

Facebook have 'soft launched' a new Share Music button, which basically means you can annoy your friends by tagging them into something featuring a new Olly Murs single.

According to Music Week the 'button' appeared on selected Facebook pages near the bit where it says 'update status'. You basically click on the button, search for the artist or song and you're away.

Apparently the search function uses Spotify's catalogue, as well as a couple of others that Facebook have deals with, so they should have that b‑side by The Saturdays you've been wanting to share with someone you haven't actually seen for five years.
