Carly Rae Jepsen gets frustrated when she's associated with one type of music

  • July 1, 2015

Carly Rae Jepsen

Popstar Carly Rae Jepsen thinks she's much more than the so-called limitations of pop music.

Having a chitchat with someone from Elle Canada (as quoted here), the 'Hotel Shampoos' hitmaker said the following words about why she recorded so many bloody songs for her new album 'Emotion':

“I think it’s hard for artists when they’re known for one type of music—you go through this rebellion stage and think ‘But I’m so much more!’ And I definitely felt that."

Okay. So what did you do about that Miss Rae Jepsen?

"I wrote about 200 songs just for me and my own heart."

'Just for me' is a euphemism for 'not that good', isn't it?
