  • May 19, 2011
  • Brad O'Mance

Music Week are reporting that Tinie Tempah's become the first British rapper to go platinum with his debut single in the US.

'Written In The Stars', which is currently at number 15 in America after peaking at number 12, has now sold over 1m copies.

His debut album, 'Disc-Overy', was released in the States last week and there are appearances lined up on Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O'Brien and the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

In other Tinie news, it's rumoured that both Pharrell and Usher (as well as Adele) will work with the rapper on his next album.
