People are throwing iPhones and keys at Niall Horan

  • June 28, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

One Direction frontman Niall Horan is thankful the band's American fans have stopped throwing bras at them during their 'gigs', although the alternative isn't much better to be honest.

"They've kind of toned [the bra throwing] down a little bit. It was worse," he explained to MTV. "Now it's iPhones and keys, which are kind of dangerous."

In fact, the madness hasn't been confined to that stage.

"When we were in New York, we were on our day off and me and Liam was [LIAM AND I WERE] going down the street with one of our security guards and we got absolutely mobbed by like 600 people in Times Square," he said. "I thought 'There is literally not one place I can walk down the street.'"

Poor Niall — but this is the cost of being One Direction's most famous and lusted-after member.
