Nicki Minaj is looking forward to hearing Alicia Keys' new song at the VMAs

  • September 5, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

Like everyone else, Nicki Minaj is excited about the rarely-mentioned MTV VMAs that are apparently happening this week sometime.

More specifically, she's looking forward to hearing Alicia Keys honk her way through a new song.

"Alicia is always fun because she usually debuts a single on an awards show, and I remember when she debuted one of her singles on an awards show, 'No one, no one'," she explained to MTV.

"I was like, 'How does she know people are going to love it right away?'" the 'Sucka Free 08' chanteuse asked. "So I'm looking forward to seeing that, if she's going to debut something new."

In other MTV VMA news, the show has been brought forward a couple of hours so that it doesn't clash with some speech Obama is giving.
