Katy Perry has hinted that she is ready to start work on new material.
Talking to MTV she said: "I have an idea for the next two records." She added that she plans to "test the water of what the world wants, or what I need to say".
Not daunted by her recent run of chart success she noted: "I may not be able to get to be able to have another Number One, so I’m just gonna do what feels right for me artistically."
And while she promised she wouldn’t make "a crazy record that nobody really understands" she did say she was keen to make something that "would be a little bit more of an artistic venture".
