Florence + The Machine will be touring a lot in 2012

  • January 11, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

'Florence' from Florence + The Machine has been talking to Billboard about her plans for 2012.

"I can see the year ahead — it's on two pieces of paper. It's intense!" she says, referring to the fact that her and her band will basically be on tour for twelve months.

"You start living for the show, and once you get into it, it's kind of amazing how it carries you through," she added. "Now when we're on the road, I'm actually really disciplined. The flip is, when I'm home, I'm like, 'take me to the pub!'"

She also touched on her recent performance at the VH1 Divas Celebrate Soul (!) awards thingy, during which she paid tribute to Amy Winehouse. "I'm 25, and she wasn't that much older than me. I'm honoured to do it [cover Amy], but it feels like it shouldn't be happening. It's incredibly sad."
