Cher's working on a musical based on her life

  • June 26, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

Real Cher has been talking on Twitter about a Broadway musical, currently 'in the works', based on her life.

In her own inimitable way the 'Mama (When My Dollies Have Babies)' chanteuse said, apropos of nothing: "Prods. R writing mucial now about my life with my music. There r 3 Chers! 1 b4 i met Son thru S&C yrs. 1 after i left thru Believe tour & 1 Now!"

She continued: "They all 3 talk 2 each other &Sing 2gether!I'm help.2 write cause i was there & know stories that no1 knows but me ! I hope it happens!"

Right, so: that's a musical based on Cher's life, which seems to split her career into three sections: pre-Sonny, the Sonny and Cher era, and then through to 'Believe' and beyond. There will be three Chers onstage and they'll all be singing together. Cher's helping to write it because she's the only one who knows all the juicy stories.

So there you have it.
