Carly Rae Jepsen's majesty continues to be ignored, this time by Canada

  • February 3, 2016
  • Brad O'Mance

Carly Rae Jepsen

Following her snub at the Grammys AND the Brits, Carly Rae Jepsen – ie Canada’s best human – has basically been snubbed by the Juno Awards.

Despite the awards SUPPOSEDLY being a celebration of all things musical and Canadian, musical Canadian Jeppo has one paltry nomination for Juno Fan Choice Award, which as we all know is just a way of getting people to tweet about the ceremony.

So to clarify, her output was deemed not good enough for:

- Single Of The Year
— Album Of The Year
— Pop Album Of The Year (!)
— Classical Album Of The Year: Large Ensemble Or Soloist(s) With Large Ensemble Accompaniment

Carly herself, meanwhile, was snubbed for:

- Artist Of The Year
— Songwriter Of The Year
— Recording Engineer Of The Year

The Weeknd got the most nominations with six, while Justin Bieber and Drake got five. OF COURSE THEY BLOODY DID.

You can see the shitty nominations here. Or not. Whatever.
