Rejoice, Carly Rae Jepsen's been named Billboard's Rising Star of 2012.
The award will be presented to the 'Guitar String / Wedding Ring' chanteuse at the Billboard Women in Music event on November 30. The event will be in New York, geography fans.
Katy Perry will also be there as she's getting their Woman of the Year thing, so that will be a nice evening out.
Jeppo had this to say about it all: "As a singer-songwriter having grown up listening to and being influenced by countless female artists, I am truly honored to be recognized by Billboard with this award."
