Beyoncé took time off to learn how to cook

  • June 13, 2011
  • Brad O'Mance

Beyoncé has claimed she took nine months off last year so she could do normal things like "learn to cook a meal and spend time with [her] husband".

In an interview with Essence magazine, the 'Run The World (Girls)' hitmaker also discussed her upbringing in Texas as a child. "We'd eat fried Snickers, funnel cakes, and fried turkey legs; the smell was the best mixture of spicy and sweet," she says.

She also shares her thoughts on her mum, Tina, calling her "my first example of what a powerful woman is".

Cheers Knowlo.
