It's the album of the year!!11

  • January 26, 2007
  • Popjustice

We know that this is the album of the year because it says it is on the sleeve.

What the sleeve also says is that they had to put the 's' in 'Brits' in lower case in case it looked like the album was called 'Brit Shits'.

It's definitely useful to have received a ten track sampler CD in the post this morning because it means we get a chance to hear all these obscure, hard-to-find songs…

1. Snow Patrol 'Chasing Cars'
2. Razorlight 'America'
3. Lily Allen 'Smile'
4. The Killers 'When You Were Young'
5. Muse 'Supermassive Black Hole'
6. Gnarls Barkley 'Crazy'
7. The Fratelis 'Chelsea Dagger'
8. Amy Winehouse 'Rehab'
9. Scissor Sisters 'I Don't Feel Like Dancing'
10. James Morrison 'You Give Me Something'

…in one place. (Without having to listen to Virgin FM for literally any 45-minute period.)

Do you know, until we put the CD on in the office we'd completely forgotten what these songs sounded like because they have certainly not been hammered into the ground by every radio station and TV show to such a tedious degree that we would happily never hear any of them EVER AGAIN.

This year's Brits really are going to be thrill-a-minute. We cannot wait.
