How do you solve a problem like not having bothered to record a proper second album?

"There's a lot of songs that were left over from the last album…"

That's what Gwen Stefani told MTV about her upcoming album, and it goes part-way to explaining why her new single, 'Wind It Up', is LITERALLY THE WORST THING SHE HAS EVER RECORDED AND THAT INCLUDES THE ENTIRE NO DOUBT BACK CATALOGUE.

It includes a sample of 'The Lonely Goatherd' from 'The Sound Of Music'.

Well, it basically is a sample of 'The Lonely Goatherd' from 'The Sound Of Music', over the top of what is to all intents and purposes a Fergie demo.

Whatever it was we were waiting for (do you see etc etc) it was not that.

:(
