Ne-Yo has postponed some of his tour dates in order to aid his "creative process"

  • February 10, 2011
  • Brad O'Mance

Ne-Yo has rescheduled a series of shows in Glasgow, Liverpool and Newcastle due to fears that going ahead with them would "interrupt the creative process" of his fifth studio album.

CHEERS NE-YO.

Due to take place on February 22, February 23 and March 3 respectively, the gigs will now happen in the autumn.

Shows in Manchester, London and Birmingham — scheduled from February 25 to March 2 — are unaffected. Presumably these dates, which would have been in the middle of the tour, are not obstructing the creative flow.

"With work on his fifth studio album going so well, the American singer songwriter could not interrupt the creative process," says a statement from AEG.

Tickets for all the dates are still available, and those for the postponed gigs will still be accepted at the new dates, which will be confirmed in the near future.

Ne-Yo's last album 'Libra Scale', a concept album based upon a short story that Ne-Yo wrote which "follows these three characters who are forced to choose between money, power and fame versus love" peaked in the UK charts at Number 11 last November.

It was frankly ridiculous.
