The salient points

• If you like boybands with stern facial expressions and a penchant for 'banter', you will LOVE The Wanted.


• The Wanted aren't a boyband like Westlife but at the same time they're not like Take That used to be, ie with dance routines, etc. They're a new breed of boyband that just sort of stands around looking like they want to fuck your head off.


• The video for 'All Time Low' takes place in a partially-collapsed warehouse in which a series of colourful explosions occur, which is nice.


• The song surprised everyone by being very good and ALSO being a massive hit.


• In 2011, they released a song for Comic Relief, following in the footsteps of Hale & Pace and Right Said Fred.


• At the beginning of 2012 they scored an impressively and unexpectedly huge hit in America with 'Glad You Came', meaning that along with One Direction they were leading a sort of UK/US boyband invasion thing.


• Yet still they refuse to crack a smile.
