The X Factor has some new voting thing for the live shows

  • October 4, 2013
  • Brad O'Mance

the-x-factor1The X Factor have introduced a new, slightly convoluted voting system that they'll implement on the first live show on Saturday October 12, reports the BBC.

Basically, once all the 'acts' have performed the phone lines will be opened for ten minutes and some sort of 'flash vote' will take place. The person with the lowest number of votes will then have to perform in the sing-off on the Sunday show.

The lines are then re-opened, with the second contestant due to face the sing-off announced once the real popstars have had a singsong.

The theme of the first live show — which will apparently last for TWO HOURS — is 'the 80s'.
