Unicorn Kid has announced the end of Unicorn Kid

  • September 8, 2014

Unicorn Kid

After fourteen months of silence, 'We Had Eaten All The Animals, And Bartered All The Jewels' hitmaker Unicorn Kid has announced the end of Unicorn Kid.

'Taking to Twitter', Mr Kid, aka Oliver Sabin, said the following things after opening with a single tweet, "Hi".

I've finally been released from my record contract, so I'm now able to let you guys know I'm calling it quits with Unicorn Kid

— UNICORN KID (@UNICORNKID) September 7, 2014

And then this:

He went on to say he's now living in New York and there will be a "new project" along soon.

In case you missed it (we certainly did until last month) a Unicorn Kid album appeared on iTunes with literally no fanfare back in January. Coupled with yesterday's tweets the fact that Oli didn't mention its release suggests that he doesn't exactly consider the album an all-round triumph, which is a shame as it's rather good.
