The X Factor results have been revealed — and it could've been Janet

  • December 12, 2011
  • Brad O'Mance

The week-by-week voting patterns for this series of The X Factor have been announced and they reveal some alarming results — notably that the winner might have been Janet 'Devvo' Devlin.

Following Little Mix's 'triumph' last night, ITV announced that 'MMMBop' hitmaker Janet Devlin led the pack in the early stages of the show, polling first with the public in weeks two, three, four and five.

She was only knocked off the top spot into second place for the return of pink-haired Frankie Cocozza apologist Amelia Lily, in the sixth week. A fortnight later, Janet's vote and ability to retain lyrics collapsed and she found herself in the bottom two, exiting the show to Misha 'B' Bryan.

However, while returning finalist Amelia Lily was the most popular contestant for three weeks during the show, eventual runner-up Marcus Collins failed to top the vote even once. From the semi-final onwards, Little Mix pulled in front and became the first group to win The X Factor, doing what bands like Journey South, The Conway Sisters and The Unconventionals had failed to achieve.

For those of you that with a penchant for percentages, we've compiled (copied and pasted) the full results below.
