The Wanted supposedly had to use their 'charms' to stop some Americans punching them

  • May 18, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

According to The Sun, banter behemoths The Wanted had to turn on the 'charm' after some disgruntled Americans were "ready to punch them".

The 'lads' were in LA filming the American video for 'Chasing The Sun' when an electrical transformer blew, cutting power to homes in the neighbouring — or 'neighboring' in this case, as it happened in America — area.

Ever mindful of other people's feelings they pulled on their All Saints desert boots and went round to each house to apologise. This definitely happened and has in no way been made up by the band's publicists.

"The lads went from door to door saying sorry to most of those whose nights had been ruined," confirmed a source.

"It was funny in a way but a load of the neighbours were ready to punch them – it was just the lads’ manners that saved the day."

As we all know examples of the "lads' manners" include referring to the women as bitches and bragging about shagging "MILFS" but don't worry, that's just banter!
