The 2012 MTV EMA nominations have been announced; usual suspects proliferate

  • September 17, 2012
  • Sam Hine

Quite a few popstars have bee nominated for a 2012 MTV EMA.

Katy Perry, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, No Doubt and Justin Bieber are all up for 'Best Pop' artist while Carly Ray Jepsen's 'Call Me Maybe', 'We Found Love' by Calvin Harris feat. Rihanna, 'Somebody That I Used To Know' by Gote, Fun. feat Janelle Monae's 'We Are Young' and Pitbull feat Chris Brown's 'International Love' are fighting for an award in the category of 'Best Song'.

'Best New' is quite a tough one, with Carly Rae Jepsen, Lana Del Rey, Fun., and our very own Rita Ora and One Direction going head-to-head for the gong.

To be honest there are loads of other very good popstars nominated too, but it'll take quite some time to write everything out so you might as well head over here and have a good look for yourselves. You could even vote if you're feeling up to it.
