Steps have a 'unique' Christmas album

  • November 9, 2012
  • Ciaran Gaynor

Steps have put a video on the internet in which they discuss their forthcoming Christmas album. You can watch it here, if you want.

It all sounds a bit 'avant-garde'.

Faye describes the album as being "completely different" and says "we wanted to do something a bit more classical". Lee says "it's a Christmas album, but it's quite unique". Lisa describes the record as having a "mature" sound. Claire adds that the album is "not like the Steps of ten years ago, we've grown up, we've moved on". H doesn't say much really.

The prize for most cryptic comment goes to Lee who muses that "there'll be surprises on there, there'll be songs you maybe don't even know. You'll think 'I don't know that — is it a Christmas song?' That's because we've took something that isn't and made it a Christmas song."

The song snippets in the video sound exactly like Steps doing a Christmas album, funnily enough.
