Siobhan Donaghy has been discussing Sugababes "1.0"

  • August 23, 2013
  • Ciaran Gaynor

Mutya Keisha Siobhan first shotSiobhan Donaghy has been discussing her spell as a Sugababe in an interview MKS have given with the Evening Standard's magazine, as reported here.

"We were teenagers. We weren't even old enough to drink!", observed the 'So You Say' hitmaker.

"They [ie Sugababes' management] saw us as interchangeable — it was all about the band, not the individuals, and that's not good for your self-esteem."

Mulling over the reasons for the original Sugababes' disharmony Siobhan added that "the adult world around us wanted to manage the environment and make it a business, and maybe forgot we were young and our happiness was important".

"Looking back there was a lot of divide and conquer going on", she noted.
