Scissor Sisters — THE BLOODY SCISSOR SISTERS — are back with a new song

  • June 9, 2017
  • Brad O'Mance

Scissor Sisters have come out of hiatus for one song only with a song that poses (and answers) one question: "What do you get when you twerk and you twirl and you werk and you swerve and you swirl?"

The collaboration with noted tunesmith MNDR is online today and cash from the song's going to the Contigo Fund, which popped up in the wake of the Pulse nightclub shooting.

Here's a quote about the song from Scissor Sisters:

"The community that brought Scissor Sisters and MNDR to life experienced an incredible loss that we can't allow to be forgotten. SWERLK is our way to honor the people and culture that allowed us to escape and be ourselves."

Can we be quite clear on this: 'Swerlk' is a total monster.

In related news, Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears is currently on tour in America, and has solo material coming out, presumably, later this year. If you'd like to see him live there's one date left and it's in New Orleans tomorrow night, so start booking flights sooner rather than later.
