One Direction have been involved in some G‑A-Y non-controversy

  • January 19, 2011
  • Brad O'Mance

Perfectly-coiffured boyband One Direction have inadvertently caused a bit of a hoo-ha by playing a pop show over the weekend at G‑A-Y (and not just because they covered Chasing Cars again).

Jeremy Joseph, the club night's promoter 'took to Twitter' after some of the attendees (mainly young girls) appeared not to be gay.

"My birthday wish is for little girls to realise that G‑A-Y is a lesbian and gay club so there's only one direction and that's no direction for them."

And then it all kicked off. You can read a blog post all about it over at The Guardian.
