Nicki Minaj has basically said there are no big pop bangers on her new album

  • April 22, 2014
  • Brad O'Mance

nickiNicki Minaj has confirmed that there won't be any songs like 'Super Bass' (which was amazing) or 'Starships' (which was amazing) on her forthcoming 'Pink Print' album.

Asked just that by MTV, the 'Sticks In My Bun' replied: "Hell no".

"I went so far to the other side that there's only one place to go from there," she continued, referring to her recent toned down image.

"You can either continue doing costumes or you can just say, 'Hey guess what? This will shock them even more. Doing nothing will shock them even more.'"

Warming to the theme, she then added: "The tracks on 'Pink Print' are back to my hip-hop roots. And I don't think it's something that I'm necessarily trying to do. As soon as I started working on my new album, that's just the songs that I've been writing."

She also promised another new song would 'drop' next week at some point.
