Musical theatre star Melanie 'Mel' C says she's impressed by the current crop of girlbands, specifically Stooshe.
How do we know this? Because one of the band took a photo of a newspaper cutting with the quote, apparently from the lady herself, saying: "There are bands coming through like Stooshe with really good attitude."
They then tweeted the picture with the following caption: "Spice girl love from @MelanieCMusic. Ahhh!"

Mind you, only a couple of days ago The Artist Formerly Known As Sporty was proclaiming Jessie J to be the new saviour of Girl Power, so let's not read too much into her endorsement just yet.
