Melanie Amaro is hard at work on her debut album

  • March 7, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

Melanie Amaro is working with Tricky Stewart and a 'host' of established songwriters on her forthcoming debut album.

Talking to Billboard, the US X Factor winner said that being in a studio "is a brand new world for me", but revealed that four or five songs have now been finished.

"I look for songs that are connected to real life scenarios — love songs, breakups, getting hurt, finding the strength to keep on pushing in life," she explained.

There is currently no release date set for the album, but Amaro hinted that there might be a single soon when she said: "There might be a single."

What a tease.
