Meghan Trainor's 'All About That Bass' will be out in the UK in October

  • August 5, 2014

Meghan Trainor

American singer of song Meghan Trainor's distinctly above average ode to the larger lady's bottom, 'All About That Bass', now has a UK release date.

That date is October 5. WHICH IS Q4.

Basically the song's already had nearly 9m views on YouTube, is a Top 40 hit 'across the pond' and will probably do quite well here in the UK too.

Here's a quote from Trainor — who has also written some songs for other people and is now signed to Epic as a popstar in her own right — about the meaning behind the song:

“When writing the song, I was thinking about girls today and how, because of social media, there’s more pressure to be society’s version of perfect and the message of the song is to love your body no matter what.”

So there you go.

Here's the song and video:

Amazing.
