Former Popstar Lily Allen has jumped to the defence of possible future popstar, Cher Lloyd.
Allen tweeted News of The World journalist Dan Wootton in response to a tweet in which he said the X Factor contestant will be "begging to be written about in a few months".
"You're a grown man for christ's sake. she is essentially a child. Give the poor thing a break," Allen messaged Wootton. "I do think it quite strange, that someone your age would be so affected by a teenager. she's really not hurting anyone."
Wootton responded by saying that Lloyd wasn't a "poor thing" and that he was treating her like an adult.
