Lana Del Rey has accidentally announced the 'Ultraviolence' release date

  • February 8, 2014
  • Popjustice

lanadelrey-nationalanthem3Lana Del Rey's new album 'Ultraviolence' will be out on May 1, according to Lana Del Rey.

There is a video (via @MavoyOfficial on Twitter) of her saying that, you see.

Chatting with fans near some palm trees she responds to a "when's your album coming out, Lana?" question with "it's coming out soon — May 1st". Unfortunately the assembled fans do not play it very cool, meaning that Lana realises she is being recorded then starts throwing in phrases like "I think so" and "I don't know" but by this point the cat is not only out of the bag but swinging around on a massive tyre.

She does say a little bit about how the album makes her feel, though. And these are the words she says: "It's so good that it made me forget about the last record. I'm in love with it. I have that romantic feeling about it."

You can watch the video here. She's pretty good at chatting to fans.

It's worth noting that if the album's out in May you'd expect the single to come out in April, which means we'll probably hear it in March. WHICH IS NEXT MONTH.
