Lady Gaga is influenced by Prince, thinks all songs are about sex and has cut her head off

  • June 10, 2011
  • Brad O'Mance

Lady Gaga has been talking a bit more about her influences when recording 'Born This Way'.

"I was thinking about Madonna — she was a big inspiration — and I was thinking about Prince when I was writing," she explained in an interview with NME TV due to be broadcast this weekend. "There's the industrial sound of German house music […] Whitney Houston's on there too, especially on 'Marry The Night'."

Thematically, Gaga says she believes everything comes down to sex. "Sex is an inspiration for everyone and I don’t think there is one song that’s ever been written that sex wasn’t part of," she told Bang Showbiz. "That’s what makes the world go round. I don’t know if threesomes make the world go round but I suppose they’re fun."

She also revealed that her next tour is probably going to be called the 'Born This Way Ball: Monster Ball III' , because she doesn't want to let go of the name 'Monster Ball'.

In performance related matters, Gaga Sang 'The Edge of Glory' on German TV during the final of Germany's Next Top Model last night. After balancing some money on her piano and screaming that she would kill for fashion, she proceeded to cut off her own head with a guillotine. Well, sort of — watch the whole thing here.
