Katy Perry's recent chart success unites us all

  • August 18, 2011
  • Brad O'Mance

Katy Perry has claimed that her recent record-equaling chart haul in America is a reminder of "how many millions of people are connected to each other by even one tiny event".

Perry's single 'Last Friday Night (TGIF)' recently peaked at Number One in the US, making it the fifth single from 'Teenage Dream' to do so, therefore equalling a record held by Michael Jackson for Number Ones from a single album.

She's also the first woman ever to do anything like this, which is obviously very exciting for everyone.

Perry went on to say: "Ever since I was 9 years old, singing into my hairbrush, I've dreamed very big dreams, but today is bigger than my dreams."

Cheers Perro.
