Katy Perry isn't happy with the world's press

  • March 21, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

Katy Perry has 'hit back' at accusations that she 'dissed' Beyoncé and Shakira during her Radio One Live Lounge appearance on Monday.

The 'Waking Up In Vegas' hitmaker tweeted: "Fuck all y'all (press) dat thinks I dissed anyone, puhlez, u havin a slow news day or what?! Get a life, cuz it's not mine!"

She then added: "If ya ears are filled with wax it's time to get a cleanse boo."

The 'furore' stems from a comment she made when asked about her rumoured duet with Rihanna. During a lengthy answer that for some reason made mention of Annie Lennox and Aretha Franklin's 'Sisters Are Doin' It For Themselves', she insinuated that Beyoncé and Shakira's 'Beautiful Liar' wasn't "iconic" enough.

It was all a bit silly and to be honest it was quite hard to focus on what she was saying with all the screaming and the deafening sense that Fearne Cotton didn't want to be there.
