Justin Bieber's defended his recent 'antics' because it's all part of growing up

  • March 28, 2013
  • Brad O'Mance

Justin-BieberJustin Bieber wants everyone to know that he's not a bad person, okay.

"The biggest misconception about me is that I'm a bad person," he wept to US Weekly. "I get upset about that. I have a big heart. I want to be a good role model, but some people want me to fail."

This is of course in light of his recent 'escapades', which include not wearing a top outside a hotel, fainting, being late for a 'gig' and allegedly spitting at a neighbour.

"I'm young and I make mistakes. That's part of growing up," he continued. "I mess up sometimes."

"I know who I am and I'm not gonna let negativity towards me bring me down. I'm a positive person and I plan on staying that way," he went on (and on). "This business can break you down, but I have a strong team around me, and my family and all the fans. The love overcomes the negativity. I'm not perfect but I'm growing and trying to be better everyday. That's part of life."

Anyway, what are you up to next?

"I'm thinking about my next album, next tour. Or maybe I'll take a break. I'm figuring it out. Isn't that what you're supposed to do at 19?"

Probably.
