Icona Pop don't think there's too much in pop to be shocked by anymore

  • November 6, 2013
  • Brad O'Mance

Icona Pop New MainIcona Pop have been chatting away about how there's nothing left to be shocked by in pop these days thanks to you know who (Miley Cyrus).

"Today we have been pushing the limits for so long there is basically nothing you can do to shock anymore," they told Yahoo!.

"But if you go back in time when women were wearing more you could push more and be more provocative in different ways. Showing stomach would be extreme but now you have to basically stand on stage in a thong to do the same thing," they continued.

Mind you, they also reckon their own music would have been pretty controversial 'back in the day'.

"It’s like that when it comes to music as well, if you played our song back in the 60s people would have been like 'what the fuck is this?'."

Indeed.
