Lady Gaga lives "between reality and fantasy"

  • May 17, 2011
  • Brad O'Mance

In a couple of tabloid interviews this week, Lady Gaga has talked about the inspiration behind her forthcoming album 'Born This Way', saying she doesn't live in the same version of reality as the rest of us.

"I live halfway between reality and fantasy at all times," she told The Sun, then elaborated to The Mirror that "the album is about living halfway between reality and fantasy at all times, challenging the social idea that magic is artificial. I believe that what's magical inside of you is what makes you special, and unique".

She also said that once 'Born This Way' is released, she won't be recording anything new for a while: "I think, after you hear the album, you won't expect me to do too much after that," she said. "It's going to be a wonderfully long and liberating journey promoting the record, and then I'm going on tour again."

'Born This Way' will be streaming on the Metro website tomorrow, and Lady Gaga even guest-edited tomorrow's edition of the paper.
