Dappy has had a lot to say about his album, future single 'Yin Yang', crying over 'Good Intentions' and releasing a Christmas single

  • September 21, 2012
  • Sam Hine

Dappy has had quite a bit to say for himself about a number of things.

First on the agenda was upcoming album 'Bad Intentions', which gave the 'Fuck Dem' singer/rapper/etc a chance to chat extensively about his writing of modern song.

"I'm definitely gonna spit raps, something to you that's got a meaning to it, bruv. You're gonna have to re-wind it to think of the metaphor again. A lot of people will, like I say, will just rap and it might have a couple of good words in, but there's no meaning to it. What's the next thing you're gonna rap about or sing about that everyone can't stop but hitting the YouTube replay button because they relate to it like 'FUCK, did you hear what he said on that line?' It's like how do we do that? And that takes time, that takes time innit and this is what I did on my album is make sure my album is fucking written in a special way. It's poetry innit?"

A true poet, 'innit'.

Talk then turned to future single 'Yin Yang' and how the video was shot in Hawaii and is "proper swag", which is always good to know.

"I bust a couple tears when I was in the booth singing ['Good Intentions']," notes Dappy before moving onto the news that he'll be releasing a Christimas single that's "got bells, it's got like reindeer bells."

"It's sounds christmassy. I'm definitely gonna get a Top 5 with that," he threatened.

Well that was quite exhausting wasn't it?
