Carly Rae Jepsen's obvious brilliance has been rewarded in Japan

  • December 11, 2015
  • Brad O'Mance

Carly

Carly 'Carly' Rae 'Jeppo' Jepsen's unequivocally triumphant 'I Really Like You' was the biggest-selling song by an international act on — wait for it — Billboard's end-of-year Japan Hot Overseas chart!

It's the one they all wanted!

The legitimate classic beat off Taylor Swift's 'Shake It Off', 'Uptown Funk' and all the usual suspects.

Here's the full Top Ten:

1. I Really Like You — Carly Rae Jepsen
2. Shake It Off — Taylor Swift
3. Uptown Funk feat. Bruno Mars — Mark Ronson
4. See you Again — Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth
5. Sugar — Maroon 5
6. Happy — Pharrell Williams
7.  Stay With Me — Sam Smith
8.  We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together — Taylor Swift <<< ?
9. Break Free feat. Zedd — Ariana Grande
10. All About That Bass — Meghan Trainor

'I Really Like You' also made it to Number 6 in the Japan Hot 100 singles chart of the year, so well done all involved.
