Carly Rae Jepsen wrote her new single 'This Kiss' via phone, text and e‑mail

  • October 24, 2012
  • Sam Hine

Carly Rae Jepsen utilised many means of communication to write 'This Kiss'.

The 'Money N The Ego' hitmaker revealed this little fact in a chat with 4Music, saying: "The three of us [Jeppo, RedFoo and Matthew Koma] via e‑mail, text and phone calls finished the song together."

"I've never written a song that way before so I'd definitely say it was new," she went on to say. "But there was something really exciting about being on the phone and singing ideas to each other and then calling each other back and re-writing lyrics in your Blackberrys and iPhones and seeing it all being exchanged."

The 21st Century way of writing modern song, ladies and gentlemen.
