Bruno Mars' album might go to Number One in America thanks to an Amazon promotion

  • February 28, 2013
  • Darren Sharp

Bruno Mars artwork'Talking To The Moon' hitmaker Bruno Mars' latest album 'Unorthodox Jukebox' may top the Billboard 200 next week due to a promotion by Amazon MP3.

Billboard reports that Amazon put the album up for $1.99 on Tuesday, causing sales to skyrocket. Albums sold for less than $3.49 don't count toward chart totals within the first four weeks of an album's release, but 'Unorthodox Jukebox' falls just outside that threshold.

This would be Mars' first US Number One, as 'Unorthodox Jukebox' debuted at Number 2 last December.

The chart in question will be released March 6, so keep your eyes glued to your computer screens.
