Beyoncé's invested in female leaders, fitness, American farmers and the health of people and our planet, ie a watermelon sports drink

  • May 4, 2016
  • Brad O'Mance

Beyonce

Vowel-avoiding beverage investment specialist Beyoncé has become a "meaningful" shareholder of WTRMLN WTR, a company specialising in cold-pressed watermelon-based sports drinks.

Now you may think, well, on a spiritual level aren't we all, in a way, meaningful shareholders of companies specialising in cold-pressed watermelon-based sports drinks? And that's worth considering. But as you'll see from the spectacular statement issued with a press release, this is not just a nice way for Beyoncé to get some free drinks based on an memes from two albums ago.

It's more about delivering "accessible wellness to the world" and investing in American farmers.

"I invested in WTRMLN WTR because it's the future of clean, natural hydration; as partners, we share a simple mission to deliver accessible wellness to the world," Beyoncé mused.

"This is more than an investment in a brand, it's an investment in female leaders, fitness, American farmers and the health of people and our planet."

Blimey.

The drinks are currently available at venues on her Formation tour, and were at the Ivy Park pop-up shops too.
