Alphabeat think their new record is a bit like their last two but not really

  • March 13, 2012
  • Mikey

Alphabeat think their new album sounds a bit like a blend of their previous efforts.

"We’ve kinda combined the sound from the two albums but have gone back to more 'real' instruments this time," they told KickKickSnare.com about their upcoming follow up to 'This Is Alphabeat' and 'The Beat Is…'.

However, the band insist that the musical 'melange' has resulted in a brand new sound, claiming they're "not here to do what we have done before" and adding that it would be "more fun" to make something fresh.

"We’ll never make another 'Fascination' or 'DJ'," they continued. "It’s more fun to grow, develop new sounds and do what feels right".
