The biggest names in British music were 'honoured' last night at the Brit Awards.

Adele took the award for Best British Female as well as British Album Of The Year.

Ed Sheeran was the night’s other most successful nominee, receiving the awards for Best British Male, British Breakthrough and Most Boring Popstar [SUBS PLEASE CHECK LAST ONE CHEERS].

Other popstars in the winner’s circle included Rihanna, who won Best International Female for the second consecutive year, and Lana Del Rey who was awarded International Breakthrough act.

One Direction’s ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ beat JLS' 'She Makes Me Wanna' for Best British Single, prompting 1D frontman Niall Horan to tweet "Oh my jesus christ ! Thank you so so so so much! Its gone beyond words! We love you so so so much!"
