A lot of Aiden Grimshaw's album was written while he was drunk

  • May 22, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

Intense Troubadour Aiden Grimshaw has told showbiz website DigitalSpy all about his intense album 'Misty Eye'.

"Intense is a good word for it, I suppose," he mused, intensely. "The album forms a vague narrative around a breakup. Most of the songs were written after a bad breakup and when I was drunk. It's a feelgood album though — it questions your intensity and anger. There are definitely some feelgood vibes on there as well."

'Feelgood vibes'.

Questioned on why — sound the 'positioning' siren — he isn't in the video for his single much, Aiden explained: "It was mainly me saying I didn't want to be in the video. It feels right that way — we didn't write it with me in mind acting out the lead role in a video."

On the other hand it could also be because "I sweat badly in front of cameras and lights", and quite frankly no one wants that.

'Is This Love' is out on June 3, with 'Misty Eye' following on August 13.
