A leading feminist thinks Katy Perry's new video is shameful military propaganda

  • March 28, 2012

Feminist killjoy Naomi Wolf has had a go at Katy Perry for her "shameful" 'Part Of Me' Video.

The author of The Beauty Myth accused Perry of "glorifying" the military in her new video which sees 'Perro' cutting all her hair off and running away to the army.

"Have you all seen the Katy Perry marines video?," she pondered on her Facebook page. "It is a total piece of propaganda for the Marines… I really want to find out if she was paid by them for making it… it is truly shameful."

Wolf claims she was a fan of the singer but alas, no more. "I would suggest a boycott of this singer whom I really liked if you are as offended at this glorification of violence as I am," she proffered.
