Sofi de la Torre — 'Mess'

  • September 25, 2015
  • Popjustice

You might remember Sofi from last year's brilliant 'Vermillion' and 'Mess', the lead track from her forthcoming EP of the same name, only compounds the sense that something unbelievably brilliant is unfolding right before our eyes. Grimes and Hayley from Paramore are fans and they generally know what they're talking about, so that's got to be a good thing, right? Right.

Sofi came up with this sparky, absorbing electronic pop wonder with Jonas Karlsson and songwriter Axel Ehnström, who also worked on 'Vermillion'.

There is a quote from Sofi about this song. Would you like to read the quote? HERE IT IS.

“There was a part of me that wasn't really being put out there… The sassy, not-so-easy-to-handle Sofi that nobody has really experienced so far. This track felt like the perfect thing to release at this moment in my career. It's upbeat, it's fun and it's messy!”

So there you go. The EP's out on November 20 and there's good news if you live in New York because that's where she'll be doing a live show on the 19th. Between now and then you can keep up with her comings and goings on Facebook.
