'Is That All There Is?'

By Peggy Lee

It is funny how so much about this Leiber & Stoller song feels like it is from a completely different time and place for pop music, but so much about it could also form the basis of a 2011 Ke$ha single.

We don't know if that's a good thing or not but we do know that those basic principles of pop that we keep going back to again and again and again were set in stone at the dawn of pop by songwriting legends like Jerry Leiber.

The more pop changes, the more it really stays the same.

(This song is a corker.)
